Jeremy Cresswell is a renowned energy analyst and journalist who specialises in upstream oil & gas and renewables. He is also Visiting Professor at Aberdeen Business School, part of Robert Gordon University.
Jeremy is editor of Energy, a satellite of Britain’s oldest daily newspaper, the Press and Journal of Aberdeen, which he joined in 1989. In addition he contributes to various other oil & gas titles and has written four books on the North Sea.
He has co-researched and authored a significant number of economic reports and publications including Scottish Enterprise energy annuals, 1997–2001 and Mackay Consultants reports, notably World Offshore Oil & Gas Report, 2004–08; Mediterranean & Black Sea Oil & Gas Report, 2004–08; Americas Report, 2004–08, Scottish Enterprise Oil & Gas Spends & Trends 2009-13.
He instigated the successful ‘All Energy’ conference series staged in Aberdeen since 2001 and is Chairman of the private-public partnership Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group. He is also on the board of Aberdeen Offshore Windfarm.
Jeremy has spoken at energy and maritime conferences in Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Gulf and North America.
